Johnny's Auto Spa + Detail ("Johnny's," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at johnnysautospa.com (the "Site") and a car wash and detail center at 7879 Old Crile Road, Painesville, Ohio. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Site collects, how we use it, and which companies receive it. It applies to the Site and to messages you send us through it. It does not apply to the separate booking and membership websites described in Section 5, which have their own terms and privacy notices.
You can browse the Site without giving us your name or creating an account. The Site does not offer visitor accounts.
Information You Choose to Send Us
- Contact form: If you submit the form on our Contact page, we receive your first and last name, email address, and the service you are asking about, plus your phone number, vehicle (year, make, and model), and message if you choose to include them. Please do not put sensitive information, such as payment card numbers, in your message.
Information Collected Automatically
- Technical information: As with most websites, when your browser loads a page, the companies that deliver the Site and its content (listed in Section 3) automatically receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. An IP address can indicate your approximate location.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools on the Site.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your questions and service requests, by email or phone;
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Site, including filtering out spam form submissions;
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the safety of others.
3. Service Providers & Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. Information is shared only as described below. Each of these companies handles information under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Netlify hosts the Site and runs the contact form. Netlify receives the technical information described in Section 1 whenever you load a page. It also receives and stores contact form submissions and sends them to us by email.
- Google. Pages that show our hours, news, gallery, reviews, or other content we update load Google Firebase software from www.gstatic.com and retrieve that content from Google's Cloud Firestore database. The Site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), and our Contact page includes an embedded Google Map. In each case, Google receives the technical information described in Section 1. Firebase sign-in is used only by our staff to manage the Site; visitors do not sign in.
- Cloudinary delivers photos and videos that we add to the Site through our site management tools. When a page includes one of those files, Cloudinary receives the technical information described in Section 1.
- Our email provider receives contact form submissions when they are sent to us.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.
- Business transfer: If our business is sold or reorganized, information may be transferred to the new owner as part of that transaction.
4. Cookies, Browser Storage & Embedded Content
The Site does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, social media pixels, or similar tracking technologies. The following items may be stored in or accessed through your browser:
- Home page background setting: To show the home page background quickly, the Site saves its current display settings (such as which photo or video to show and how it is framed) in your browser's local storage under the name "jas.hero.v1". This contains no information about you and is not sent to us.
- Firebase sign-in component: Google's sign-in component is loaded only on the staff login page used to manage the Site, not on the public pages. It may create a storage area in that browser to keep staff signed in.
- Embedded Google Map: The map on our Contact page is provided by Google. Depending on your browser settings, Google may set cookies or collect information through the map under its own privacy policy.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage. Doing so should not prevent you from using the Site.
5. Links to Other Websites
Some buttons and links take you to websites that we do not operate. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to information you provide there:
- Detail appointment booking through Reservio (johnny-s-auto-spa-and-detail.reservio.com). Information you enter there is used to schedule your appointment.
- VIP Unlimited Club membership sign-up and plan management at johnnysautospa.mywashaccount.com, which is operated by our membership service provider.
- Our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok pages.
The Site does not embed social media posts, videos, or plugins. Those services receive information from your visit to the Site only if you follow a link to them.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we receive, including limiting access to our site management tools to authorized staff accounts. No website or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We keep contact form submissions, and the emails that deliver them to us, for as long as we need them to respond to your request and to keep ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete your submission at any time, as described in Section 9. Technical information received by the companies listed in Section 3 is kept under their own retention practices.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information through the Site, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your Choices & Requests
You may contact us using the details in Section 11 to:
- Ask what information we have from a contact form submission you sent;
- Ask us to correct or delete that information;
- Ask questions about this Privacy Policy.
We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time. For help with a VIP Unlimited Club membership, use the membership portal described in Section 5 or contact us.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Site or our practices change. We will post the updated Policy on this page and change the "Last Updated" date above.
